The Salt Lake City Buzz beat the Kansas Rainbeaus, 6-2, at Wichita Field. The win was due in part to left fielder Phil McCroskey, who was 3-5 with a triple and 2 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Salt Lake City now sits in 5th place in the Silver AAA at 50-43.
Salt Lake City used a well-timed hit by Oscar Henson to capture the win. The third baseman socked a run-scoring double in the top of the second inning to put the Buzz ahead, 1-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"We'll enjoy this win," said Henson. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
