The Sacramento Redlegs got a superb performance from pitcher Tim Buck, but the Salt Lake City Buzz still won the game, 2-1. Buck threw 5.0 innings allowing 1 runs. Artie Bates earned his 4th save in 6 chances. The Buzz improve their record to 46-41 with the win over Sacramento.
Salt Lake City used the clutch hitting of Greg Ge to snag the win. The right fielder drilled a solo home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Buzz ahead, 2-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a crucial one.
"It feels good to get this one," Ge told the Salt Lake City Chronicle.
