Redlegs Hang 7-1 Loss on Dodos
|
In baseball, each game is unique. This one was no different.
Sacramento Redlegs pitcher Eugene Bell was in fine form, leading his team past the Hialeah Dodos, 7-1. Larry Benítez earned the save, his 2nd, for the Redlegs.
Ken Francis swatted a 2-run double for Sacramento in the bottom of the sixth. The designated hitter went 2 for 4 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 1 run and batted in 3.
"It's not about individual awards," Francis told a Sacramento Bulletin reporter after the game. "It's about winning championships. That's what we play for."
Sacramento, now 34-33, holds down 5th place in the Silver AAA.
