The Hamilton Coyotes topped the Milton Dogfish Head, 8-7, with designated hitter Juan Romero playing a big role. Romero went 2-4 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice for the Coyotes in the win. Jim Maxwell, now 4-0, was credited with the win. He allowed 3 runs on 5 hits, while striking out 1 and walking 0. The win makes Hamilton 29-38.

Ed Reese was the walk-off hero for Hamilton. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Coyotes center fielder hit a dramatic solo home run to send the teams home.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Romero told the Hamilton Gazette.
