The Sacramento Redlegs faced a tough opponent in Ellenburg pitcher Eric Manchester, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Dog Park in Ellenburg by a final score of 8-5. Manchester went 5.1 innings and allowed 2 runs. Sacramento pitcher Ramon Roodenburg got the win. He's now 1-1. Bruce Kimsey was tagged with the loss. Sacramento is now 31-32.

Sacramento used the clutch hitting of Alfonso Pereyra to capture the win. The shortstop drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the eighth inning to give the Redlegs the lead, 6-5. For the game, Pereyra had 1 single and 1 double in 4 at-bats.

"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Pereyra.
