Schroeder Slugs Squirrel Monkeys to 3-2 Win
|
The Syracuse Squirrel Monkeys and Sacramento Redlegs played an exciting game.
The Syracuse Squirrel Monkeys knocked off the Sacramento Redlegs, 3-2, at Sacramento Sanitation Station. Chandler Schroeder was a big reason Syracuse won. The left fielder was 3 for 4 with 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. The Redlegs, at 29-29, have lost 4 straight games.
Schroeder had a game-changing home run in the top of the eighth. On a 1-2 fastball from Arsen Campbell, he banged a 2-run home run to right, giving the Squirrel Monkeys a 3-2 lead. It was the 8th home run of the year for Schroeder.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Schroeder said after the game.
