The home crowd had a good time watching the Milton Dogfish Head and Syracuse Squirrel Monkeys get after it.

Jesús Vargas was a vital contributor to the 7-4 Syracuse victory over Milton. The Squirrel Monkeys first baseman went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Poto Boldrini, who went 6.1 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 4 runs on 7 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 10. His record now stands at 4-2.

The Squirrel Monkeys got a big at-bat from center fielder Danny Rodríguez, who in the bottom of the third hit a run-scoring triple. It was his 3rd triple of the season and put the Squirrel Monkeys on top, 2-0.

"We take it day by day here," said Vargas, "and today was a good one for us."
