Redlegs Fall, 9-2, to Quaintance, Buzz
|
The Salt Lake City Buzz topped the Sacramento Redlegs by the score of 9-2, with the biggest share of the credit going to catcher Mark Quaintance. Quaintance was 3 for 4 with 3 doubles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4 for the Buzz on the day. The win puts the Buzz at 20-26, while the Redlegs drop to 25-21.
In the bottom of the seventh, Quaintance put his team in front with his 8th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which came against Everett Pratt, made it 3-2, Salt Lake City.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Salt Lake City manager Waylon Anderson.
