The Ellenburg Fighting Dachsunds got a stellar effort from pitcher Herman Griffin, helping Ellenburg score a win over the visiting Salt Lake City Buzz, 7-1. The Fighting Dachsunds saw their win-loss record go to 22-20. At the same time, the Buzz fell to 17-25.

The Fighting Dachsunds got an important contribution from designated hitter Javier Castro, who in the bottom of the fourth knocked a 0-1 fastball into left-center for a 2-run double. It was his 4th double of the season and put the Fighting Dachsunds ahead, 4-0.

"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Griffin said.
