Buzz Stick Rainbeaus with 7-6 Loss
The Kansas Rainbeaus got a superb performance from designated hitter Randy Moore, but the Salt Lake City Buzz still won the game, 7-6. Moore went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Todd Denton earned the win for Salt Lake City. He lasted 6 innings, allowing 5 runs on 7 hits, while striking out 2. With the win, he raised his record to 2-1. Will Sovaiala earned the save, his 5th.

Salt Lake City used the timely hitting of Gavin Okel to capture the win. The center fielder socked a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Buzz ahead, 6-4. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.

"I just tried to make good contact," said Okel.

The loss makes the Rainbeaus 7-12.
