The Syracuse Squirrel Monkeys got a superb performance from pitcher Luis Sastre. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Ellenburg. The Fighting Dachsunds won the game, 3-2. Sastre threw 7.1 innings of 5-hit ball. Ellenburg is off to a hot start at 8-4.

Sze Qi electrified the crowd in the bottom of the ninth when he took Syracuse pitcher Ron Plummer deep. His solo home run sent the Fighting Dachsunds home winners.

"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Qi said.
