McCroskey Rips 2 Home Runs in 9-2 Buzz Triumph
The Ellenburg Fighting Dachsunds started the 2045 season not with a bang but with a whimper, falling 9-2 to the Salt Lake City Buzz at Dog Park in Ellenburg. Left Fielder Phil McCroskey was the top performer for Salt Lake City. Shawn Umble got the win, improving to 1-0. He held the Fighting Dachsunds to 2 runs on 4 hits over 5.2 innings, while striking out 2 and walking 4. Camillo Vialli picked up the save, his 1st.

Cheng-ho Bu aided the Salt Lake City cause with a run-scoring double in the top of the fourth. For the game, the second baseman was 2-5 with a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

"It was our day today," Bu told the Salt Lake City Chronicle. "But we've got to keep our nose to the grindstone."
