Nolensville had no answer for Syracuse Starks hurler Kini Grinter, who overwhelmed Knights hitters as the Starks coasted to victory, 6-1. The winning pitcher was Grinter, now 4-5. He tossed 5.1 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 5 and fanning 4. Kyle Collins was called on to finish, recording his 1st save.
Bill Butler aided the Syracuse cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth. For the game, the right fielder went 2-4 with 2 singles.
"I'm just happy to help the team win," Butler told the Syracuse Observer.
The win has Syracuse at 39-62.
