Lynx Lose By a Run at Nolensville, 4-3
|
The Nolensville Knights picked up a win at Nolensville Park, taking down the Calgary Lynx, 4-3. Starting pitcher Steve Young was a big reason why. Young got the win, improving to 3-12. He allowed 5 hits and walked 4 over 6 innings. Young allowed 2 runs. The Knights raised their record to 44-52.
Nolensville catcher David Davis contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With two down, he hit a curveball into left field for a 2-run single. It was his 7th hit of the season and put the Knights ahead, 3-1.
"I'm just happy to help the team win," Davis told the Nolensville Bulletin.
