Red Pandas Win, Scruggins drives in 3 runs

Fog Park was the site for M3L Triple A action featuring the Sunset District Fog and Sioux Falls Red Pandas.
Carsello Scruggins was a major contributor to the 7-1 Sioux Falls win over Sunset District. The Red Pandas right fielder went 2-3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3. Paul Vereen got the win, improving to 7-4. He pitched 6 innings, giving up 5 hits and 1 run, while striking out 8 and walking 0.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Louwe Heesemans? The Sioux Falls third baseman had a 2-run double in the top of the first inning to put the Red Pandas on top, 3-0. For the game, Heesemans had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"We had a nice day," said Sioux Falls skipper Terry Sylvester.
The Red Pandas, now 46-37, have won 5 in a row.
