Pitching was the name of the game in a tight contest between the Port Royal Disaster and the Athletic Club KC Reserves. Port Royal won it, 3-1. Port Royal starter Jalmari Lostedt was in command. The 7th-place Disaster have won 9 in a row.
It could have been a different outcome for Port Royal, had it not been for Sean Roberts, the 29-year old center fielder . Roberts contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the second inning to put Port Royal up, 1-0.
"We'll keep riding this wave as long as we can," said Disaster manager Bernie Drake.
