The Athletic Club KC Reserves picked up a win at Drummers Ballpark, taking down the Tortolita Drummers, 5-1. Starting pitcher Gabel Ambrosius was a big reason why. Ambrosius picked up the win for Athletic Club KC, going 6 innings. He gave up 1 run on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 5-5. The save was credited to Jeffrey Strickland, his 6th.
It could have been a different outcome for Athletic Club KC, had it not been for Wally Hill, the 25-year old second baseman . Hill contributed a 2-run single in the top of the fourth inning to put Athletic Club KC up, 4-0.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Ambrosius.
The loss makes Tortolita 33-50.
