Drummers Win at Port Royal, 5-4
|
The Tortolita Drummers weathered a fine game by Port Royal left fielder Derek Kelly to upend the Disaster, 5-4, at Ballpark of Port Royal. Kelly was 3-4 with a double and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs. Nick Dalton locked down his 1st save. The Drummers go to 27-45 with the win.
Tortolita relied on the bat of Fernando Urby to get the win. The third baseman ripped a 2-run triple in the top of the second inning to put the Drummers ahead, 2-1. For the game, Urby had 1 double and 1 triple in 4 at-bats.
"We're a talented bunch when we're playing well," said Urby. "I think we showed that here."
