4-1 Triumph Takes Jersey City to 47-23
|
Jersey City Tritons starter Sean Murphy pitched his team past the Alaskan Humpbacks, 4-1. The win elevated the Tritons to 47-23.
Carlos Díaz, the Jersey City center fielder, contributed a 2-run single in the bottom of the fourth inning to make the score 2-0, Tritons. For the game, Díaz went 1 for 4, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Jersey City manager Erwin Chapman.
