Monsters Collect 6-5 Win Over Humpbacks
Remco Mastenbroek did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Alaskan Humpbacks from losing, 6-5, to the Monongahela Monsters at Timber Hawks Ballpark. Mastenbroek went 3-5 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times. Monongahela reliever Mike Davidson picked up the win, upping his record to 2-2. Adrián Gómez absorbed the loss. At 34-35, the Monsters find themselves in 4th place in the Premier AAA.

Monongahela won the game in the bottom of the 11th inning. With no outs and Adrián Gómez on the mound for Alaskan, first baseman Ryan Blonke hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Monsters fans to their feet.

"This place was jumping at the end," Blonke said.
