Mario Roldán was a major factor in the 7-6 Tortolita win over Athletic Club KC. The Drummers first baseman went 4-5 with 4 singles. Tortolita is now 25-42.

Tortolita used the timely hitting of Bill Stickells to capture the win. The pinch hitter socked a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Drummers ahead, 7-5. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a big one.

"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Tortolita manager Barrett Abbott.
