Guinea Pigs Take Down Miners, 2-1
|
The Gwinnett Guinea Pigs got a magnificent effort from pitcher Gregory Collins, who kept Marquette hitters in check en route to a 2-1 Guinea Pigs win at Experimental Stadium. The Guinea Pigs, now 3-0, have been playing some good baseball.
Gwinnett took a 2-1 lead on José Moreno's 1st double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Moreno hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Marquette pitcher Gonzalo Garibay visibly frustrated.
Collins called the win "a collective effort."
