Flyers Win, 5-3, at Hartford
|
Pennsauken Flyers starter José Correa pitched a strong game against the Hartford Pride at Pride Park, leading the Flyers to victory, 5-3. Correa, now 4-6, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 8 hits, while striking out 2, walking 2, and allowing 3 runs. The Flyers raised their record to 24-35.
Pennsauken used a well-timed hit by Robby Caldwell to capture the win. The center fielder socked a run-scoring double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Flyers ahead, 4-3. Though it was his only hit in 5 at-bats, it was important.
"I know we have our doubters," said Hartford manager William Smith. "But I still have high hopes for this team."
