Opening day festivities have begun throughout the league. Fans of the Gwinnett Guinea Pigs were eager to watch Tommaso Cugnoni square off against Marlon Harris of the visiting Marquette Miners. In the end, the Guinea Pigs won the game, 10-5, with Tommaso Cugnoni leading the way.

The fans who came to support the Guinea Pigs were pleased with the outcome. It was what they had hoped for when they passed through the turnstiles at Experimental Stadium.

Cugnoni called the triumph "a good team win."
