Drummers Edge Past Humpbacks, 3-2

The Alaskan Humpbacks and Tortolita Drummers provided some drama for the home crowd.
The Tortolita Drummers racked up a win at Drummers Ballpark, bumping off the Alaskan Humpbacks, 3-2. Lorenzo Carregosa, who started for Tortolita, pitched effectively for his team. Kent Randall, credited with the win, is now 2-1. He allowed no runs on no hits.
Tortolita took a 3-2 lead on Leland Sigurdson's 3rd double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Sigurdson hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Alaskan pitcher Sean Kennedy visibly frustrated.
"We came out on the wrong end of this one," said Alaskan skipper Lou Cook.
The triumph makes Tortolita 15-28.
