The Pride faced a stiff challenge from Tortolita pitcher Lorenzo Carregosa, but persevered to claim a win at Drummers Ballpark. The final score was 1-0. Carregosa went 9 innings and allowed 1 run. Darweshi Hadiya earned the save for Hartford, his 10th of the year. Hartford is now 18-20.

Hartford used the clutch hitting of Rafael Maldonado to snag the win. The first baseman drilled a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Pride ahead, 1-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a crucial one.

"Win or lose, we always try to grind it out and stay even-keeled," Maldonado said in reaction to the win.
