Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the Port Royal Disaster got the win.
The Port Royal Disaster picked up a win at Jerome Grounds, knocking off the Bakersfield Nobles, 4-2. Starting pitcher Bailey O'Donnell was a big reason why. The winning pitcher was O'Donnell, now 1-5. He tossed 7.1 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 8.
Port Royal took the lead in the top of the sixth. With two out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Vesa Karpinen stroked a 2-run single to make it 2-0, Disaster.
"I tried to mix it up, keep them off balance," said O'Donnell.
The win puts Port Royal at 14-24.
