Warriors Take Down Blitzkrieg, 5-4
The Port Huron Blitzkrieg and Forest City Warriors provided some drama for the home crowd.

A good performance from first baseman Carlos Velardes helped the Forest City Warriors defeat the Port Huron Blitzkrieg, 5-4. Velardes went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 3 times for the Warriors. Jorge Pagán closed the door for Forest City, picking up his 11th save of the year.

Forest City used the timely hitting of Pedro Guerrero to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Warriors on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We battled our tails off to get this win," said Forest City manager Ramón Pantoja.

With the win, Forest City has a record of 36-31. Port Huron falls to 21-46.
