Late Rally by Tritons Locks Up 4-2 Win
|
Jersey City Tritons starter Jing-quo Ts'ai hurled his team past the Alaskan Humpbacks, 4-2. The winner was Drees de Lijser in relief. His record improves to 4-1. Sean Kennedy took the loss. Jordan Murdoch, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 11th save.
Fairfield, Maine-born Andrew Gray came through in the clutch. In the bottom of the eighth, with the bases loaded and the Tritons trailing 2-1, he hit a 2-run single to center to put Jersey City on top.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Gray.
With the win, Jersey City pushed its record to 23-14.
