Men Earn 3-2 Win Versus Fog
|
The Florida Men faced a tough opponent in Sunset District pitcher Ed Clark, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Psychos Ballpark by a final score of 3-2. Clark went 8 innings and allowed 1 run. Florida pitcher Jorge Oyas got the win. He's now 3-5. Borisav Gojkovic was tagged with the loss. Florida is now 24-33, Sunset District 30-27.
The game came to a dramatic end. In the bottom of the ninth, with Florida trailing 2-1, Michael Wallace hit a fastball from Borisav Gojkovic for a 2-run home run, giving the Men the walk-off win.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Florida skipper José Zamora.
