Starting pitcher Taine Poutini was a major factor in the 6-1 Baton Rouge Brass triumph over the Sioux Falls Red Pandas. Bernardo López earned the save for Baton Rouge, his 1st. Baton Rouge is now riding a 3-game win streak.

Baton Rouge used a well-timed hit by Rich Dalzell to capture the win. The center fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the first inning to put the Brass ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.

In postgame comments to the Baton Rouge Today, Poutini said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
