Humpbacks Win at Port Royal, 5-1
|
The Alaskan Humpbacks beat the Port Royal Disaster, 5-1, at Ballpark of Port Royal. Starting pitcher Kwang-sik Kang was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. Zack Coffey earned the save for Alaskan, his 3rd. With the win, Alaskan raised its record to 16-12.
Alaskan used the timely hitting of Don Clark to capture the win. The right fielder socked a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Humpbacks ahead, 3-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Clark told the Alaskan News.
