Thrilling Victory Pushes Tritons Win Streak to 7
|
Chuck Spadina was locked and loaded, helping the Jersey City Tritons beat the Tortolita Drummers, 4-1. Spadina went 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 1, and struck out 4. His record improves to 3-1. Jersey City has now won 7 straight.
Jersey City used the timely hitting of Jim Henson to seize the win. The catcher stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Tritons on top, 2-0. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"I like the roll we're on right now," said Spadina after the game.
