The Sioux Falls Red Pandas beat the Port Huron Blitzkrieg, 5-2, at Port Huron Park. Henri de Beeld, in particular, was impressive. He hit 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Heath Hennington earned the save for Sioux Falls, his 4th of the year. Sioux Falls is in 4th place in the Menard's AAA with a record of 26-22.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Carsello Scruggins? The Sioux Falls right fielder had a 2-run double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Red Pandas on top, 3-1. For the game, Scruggins had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"I thought we played a nice game," de Beeld told the Sioux Falls Chronicle. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
