The Monongahela Monsters went home winners at Timber Hawks Ballpark, thanks in large part to starter Fernando Alou. Alou stifled the Port Royal Disaster, enabling Monongahela to grab the 2-0 win. Monongahela is now riding a 3-game win streak.

Monongahela took a 2-0 lead on Aubrey Magee's 1st home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Port Royal pitcher Bailey O'Donnell in the bottom of the seventh.

"It was just a matter of executing," said Monongahela manager José González.
