Florida Men starter Jordon Glen Anderson pitched a strong game against the Santa Barbara Golden Cranes at Psychos Ballpark, leading the Men to victory, 3-2. The win belongs to Melvin Conner in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Petr Elfimov took the loss for Santa Barbara. Marty McFly got credit for the save for Florida. It was his 7th of the year.
Florida took a 3-2 lead on Carlos Vélez's 2nd triple of the season. The run-scoring triple, which Vélez hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Santa Barbara pitcher Petr Elfimov shaking his head.
"We played hard and won," said Anderson. "Sometimes, baseball really is that easy.'
The Men move to 18-23 with the win, while the Golden Cranes drop to 23-18.
