Pride Park was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Hartford Pride and Port Royal Disaster.
The Port Royal Disaster got a sterling performance from pitcher Rio Dring, but the Hartford Pride still prevailed, 6-5. Dring came in in relief and pitched to 18 batters. Hartford pitcher Jacob Sinclair got the win. He's now 2-1. Jalmari Lostedt was tagged with the loss. Darweshi Hadiya earned the save, his 7th, for the Pride.
Rafael Maldonado took Jalmari Lostedt deep in the bottom of the first. His 3-run home run put the Pride on top, 3-0. In all, Maldonado had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Maldonado.
The Pride saw their record improve to 10-12.
