Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Austin Black Mambas and Sioux Falls Red Pandas.

The Austin Black Mambas topped the Sioux Falls Red Pandas, 6-4, in M3L Triple A action at The Bamboo Forest. The game was highlighted by the performance of Austin pitcher Jody Lewis. José Lucero notched the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 1.2 innings. His record now sits at 2-0.

Ger Jobse, the slick-fielding shortstop , had a direct impact on the outcome. Jobse contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the eighth inning to put Austin up, 5-4.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Lewis told the Austin Citizen.

The Black Mambas, at 22-18, sit in third place in the Menard's AAA.
