Earl McCarty was a vital contributor to the 7-5 Port Royal victory over Athletic Club KC. The Disaster center fielder was 2-4 with a home run and was hit by a pitch, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Port Royal pitcher Katsumoto Ine got the win. He's now 2-2. Ean Somoza was tagged with the loss. Neil Young recorded the save for Port Royal, his 3rd of the season.

John Siddall's at-bat in the bottom of the fourth was significant for the Disaster. Coming to the plate with runners on 2nd and 3rd and Port Royal trailing 3-1, the Disaster third baseman reached on an error by the SS, driving in 2 runs.

"When this team comes together and plays the way we can, we can compete with anyone," said Siddall. "I think we're going to keep proving that."

Today's win puts Port Royal at 9-12, while Athletic Club KC falls to 11-10.
