Red Pandas Win, 3-1, at Baton Rouge
|
Sioux Falls Red Pandas starter Munoto Morishita turned in an exceptional performance against the Baton Rouge Brass at Brass Field, resulting in a Sioux Falls win, 3-1. Morishita went 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 1, and struck out 3. His record improves to 4-3. Heath Hennington collected save number 1.
The Red Pandas got an important contribution from center fielder Roberto Flores, who in the top of the fifth punched a 1-1 fastball into left-center for a bases-clearing triple. It was his 1st triple of the season and put the Red Pandas ahead, 3-1.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Morishita.
The win elevated the Red Pandas to 20-16.
