Knights Make Blitzkrieg 4-2 Losers
|
Nolensville Knights starter Tim Wallace turned in an exceptional performance against the Port Huron Blitzkrieg at Port Huron Park, resulting in a Nolensville win, 4-2. Wallace, now 3-2, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 5, walking 1, and allowing no runs. Ján Ïtor picked up the save, his 8th.
Nolensville used the bat of Bob Hill to capture the win. The third baseman jacked a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Knights ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a dandy.
Wallace called the win "a collective effort."
Port Huron has now lost 5 consecutive games.
