Athletic Club KC Beats Port Royal, 4-2
|
Ballpark of Port Royal was the site of a competitive game between the Port Royal Disaster and Athletic Club KC Reserves.
The Athletic Club KC Reserves got a good effort from starter Rodney Johnson in defeating the Port Royal Disaster at Ballpark of Port Royal. The final score was 4-2. In 5.1 innings, Johnson surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 8 and walking 3. He allowed 2 runs. Willie Woodward earned the save for Athletic Club KC, his 3rd of the year.
Mhelter Gaston had a big hit for Athletic Club KC in the top of the second inning. With Athletic Club KC leading 1-0, Gaston hit a 2-run home run. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Reserves up, 3-0.
"Nice to tuck this win away," said Gaston.
The Disaster fall to 8-12 and continue their unimpressive start to the 2045 season.
