Reserves Beat Humpbacks, 6-1

Athletic Club KC Reserves starter Bill Torres turned in a top-notch performance against the Alaskan Humpbacks at KC Reserve Stadium. The result was a win for the Reserves, 6-1. Torres went 6.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 2, and struck out 4. His record improves to 2-0. The win gives Athletic Club KC a record of 9-9.
The Reserves got a big at-bat from third baseman Leon Burns. For the game, Burns went 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 3rd home run of the season gave Athletic Club KC a 2-1 lead.
"It was a tough night at the plate," said Alaskan manager Lou Cook.
