Big Day for Martí in 7-5 Disaster Win
The Port Royal Disaster relied on the hitting of third baseman Tomás Martí to stop the Jersey City Tritons, 7-5. For the game, Martí went 2 for 4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 5. Júlio Díaz earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 2.2 innings. His record is now 2-1. José Díaz, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 3rd save.

Martí had a game-changing double in the bottom of the eighth. On a full count curveball from Edwin Perry, he banged a run-scoring double to right, giving the Disaster a 6-5 lead. It was the 6th double of the year for Martí.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Martí told the Port Royal Gazette.

The win leaves Port Royal with a record of 8-9.
