Late Rally Gets 5-3 Win for Stingers
Pedro Serano helped his team muscle past the Kingston Township Knights, 5-3. In the game, the Toledo first baseman was 1-1 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Toledo reliever Archie MacMurchy picked up the win, raising his record to 1-0. Stu Searle was tagged with the loss. Mike Tate notched his 27th save in 32 chances.

Toledo used the timely hitting of Adam Clements to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Stingers on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We'll enjoy this win," said Serano. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."

The Knights have now dropped 5 straight.
