Dirty Reds Fall Short, 3-2, at Colorado
|
The San Mateo Dirty Reds got a superb performance from pitcher Travis Morgan. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Colorado. The Billy Goats won the game, 3-2. Morgan threw 7.0 innings of 6-hit ball. Colorado reliever Gil Herrera picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Travis Morgan absorbed the loss. Colorado has now won 4 straight.
With no one out in the bottom of the fourth, Robby Sinor barreled up a fastball from Travis Morgan. The result was a solo home run, putting the Billy Goats in front, 3-1.
"If you want to be considered a good team, these are the kind of games you have to win," said Colorado manager Mack Kilkeary.
