Bass Twirls Fire to Shutout Victory Tuesday, June 14th , 2044 Will Bass subdued the Ballard Beavers, 6-0, pitching a 4-hit gem for the Franklin Fire at The Beaver Dam. "He was kind of teasing them with his off-speed stuff, and his fastball was moving everywhere," Franklin skipper Iban Hulsbos said afterward. Bass registered 5 strikeouts and issued 2 walks in his superb performance. "We just didn't swing the bats very well. Or else he just pitched good, whichever way you want to look at it," said Ballard manager Raymond Thomas after the defeat.
