League KO's Beavers-Trash Pandas Players with 4-Game Suspensions
Wednesday, June 8th , 2044
The action was hot and heavy at a recent Ballard-Watford City game at The Beaver Dam in more ways than one. When tempers flared, both benches emptied and a mild melee ensued. The only thing hurt was a few players' pride. Two of the main figures in the brawl were suspended today by league officials. The Beavers Kent Galloway and Watford City's Todd Jackson will each miss 4 games for their roles in the fight.
"We do not condone this kind of behavior on the field," the league announcement read. "As such, we believe that this punishment fits the actions taken by these two players. We hope that there will not be a repeat of the incident or else the consequences will be even more severe."
Presently Galloway is hitting .120 with 2 home runs and 10 RBIs. He has played in 31 games and scored 4 times.
To this point in the season Jackson has 2 saves in 13 relief appearances with a 3-1 record and 3.20 ERA.
