Ellesmere Island Playoff Hopes Officially Zero Wednesday, August 31st , 2044 It wasn't meant to be for the Ellesmere Island Snowpeople this year. Despite a tough battle, they were eliminated from playoff contention today. "It is a bad feeling," said Snowpeople starting pitcher Dennis Heath. "Once you get into the playoffs, anything can happen. But you've gotta get in there first, and we weren't able to do that." The Snowpeople have missed the playoffs 12 times in their 12 years as a M3L Rookie franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 13th in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2030. |
