Negrete Belts Bunch of Base Hits Saturday, June 25th , 2044 It wasn't just another day at the ballpark for José Negrete today. Negrete went on a tear and cracked hit after hit off Athletic Club KC pitchers. When the dust settled on the diamond at Ballpark of Elkhorn City, he had a 5-for-6 line and a day he will long remember. And the Canonniers de Quebec had a 15-4 victory over the U-21. "Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but it won't get me a hit tomorrow," he joked in the postgame interview. José Negrete grounded out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Jamie Miller in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, hit a two-run single in the 7th and doubled in the 9th.
